RBI reserves right to check rupee fall
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has asserted that it will not hesitate to use all available instruments to prevent downward rupee spiral
“Usually RBI does not strongly intervene in the currency market to achieve specific exchange rate targets. However, in volatile market conditions that we see today, RBI intervention to keep markets orderly and prevent a downward spiral of rupee is justified,” said Reserve Bank of India Deputy Governor Subir Gokarn in a video message delivered to the delegates at the Confederation of Indian Industry's (CII), ‘The CFO Summit 2011' with the theme ‘Changing dynamics of finance leadership' here.

Postal Assistants and Sorting Assistants) (Group-C Non-gazetted) Recruitment
Rules, 2011. These have been published
in Official Gazette on 3.11.2011. They
come into force from the date of publication in Official Gazette.
For direct recruitment 10+2 or 12 Standard candidates with
atleast 60% marks with English as compulsory subject [ excluding vocational
stream], 55% for OBC and 45% for SC/ST will be eligible.
GDS should have obtained 50% marks in +2 or 12th standard
with English as a Compulsory subject and should have put in minimum 5 years
service.They should be within 30 years of age (35 years for those belonging to
Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes and 33 years for other Backward Classes).
2G case: Notice to CBI on plea against ‘tutoring’ witnesses
A Delhi court on Thursday sought the Central Bureau of Investigation’s response on a plea by a 2G case accused for a direction to the agency to “refrain from interfering” with witnesses.
Issuing notice to the CBI on Swan Telecom Director Vinod Goenka’s plea, Special CBI Judge O.P. Saini asked the agency to file its reply by November 23, 2011.
Mr. Goenka, in an application through his counsel Majid Memon, sought its direction to the CBI to “refrain from interfering” with witnesses in “a suspicious manner” before their deposition in the court.
